The guy on the right is King Diamond, Heavy Metal performer & Neil Diamond's son! My friend Jay says he was in a band called "Mercyful Fate" in the 70's or 80's. What's your name, Anonymous? Are you new around here? I'm Opal. I have been following here for a few months.
Le Cram, it seems to me that a lot of people like to make fun of Neil Diamond. Now, I know that what you do is good, clean fun and you mean no harm. My concern is with people who like to call him "corny" or "cheesy" and the like.
I really hope that these people who feel that they are too cool for Mr. Diamond the elder's music try to keep in mind that Neil Diamond is one of the most enduring songwriters of our lifetime. His music has touched the lives of millions of people around the world, myself included. Sure, sometimes he might come off as what we in this modern, jaded world would consider "corny," but everything Neil Diamond says is heartfelt. And if being heartfelt and genuine is corny, well, then corn me up, Mister!
Also, King Diamond's album, "The Spider's Lullabye," is an absolute gem! I like to play it while I dance around with my machete. It's a wonderful dance I do in order to torment the little children I keep locked in a cage in my basement.
It's "anonymous" writing. I wish I could say more about myself, but I wish to remain anonymous. Thank you very much for the information, though, about Diamond and Diamond. And you look pretty cute in your avatar picture, if that's you enjoying the popsicle. Yummy! I happened to find this site by accident when I was searching info about Neil Diamond's Beautiful Noise album, which I think is a classic, as is his Live at the Greek. Too bad he's not much of an actor, as evidenced by his performance in The Jazz Singer.
Thank you, Evel. For another heartfelt and insightful comment! There seems to be a lot of jokers and "frat boyz" leaving comments lately(Beaver Boyz, anyone?). It's nice to get feedback from a thoughtful adult every now and then. With much appreciation to you, Klown.
Hey! I'm really mad. I sent a fan e-mail to Neil Diamond and said that he must be real proud of his son, King, and he wrote back and told me I was nuts! How could this website pass along false info like that! I thought this place celebrated truth!
That is a beautiful Neil Diamond.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who the guy on the right is. Is it someone from KISS?

After the dance, I kill them, of course.
Great stuff, pal!

Oh, that's okay, Le Cram. Neil Diamond doesn't need my fan-love. And you draw such nice pictures that I just can't stay mad at you.
