Brian Wilson's "Let's go away for awhile"

Has there ever been a more beautiful song written than "Let's go away for awhile", from Brian's first solo album Pet Sounds (Yes, his first solo album. Read some Beach Boys history, and you'll understand the statement)? Even after the countless times Le Cram has heard this song, Le Cram is still sometimes surprised by the beauty of it. Also, Le Cram wants to congratulate Brian on his 2013 Grammy win for "Smile Sessions". Way to go Brian (and Van Dyke Parks)!!!

  1. Le Cram! Nice to have you back. Love that song too! But if the question is: What song do you most enjoy listening to when eating a Double Quarter Pounder with Cheese? Then I gotta go with "Wouldn't it be nice"! Hope to see you around McDonald's soon!

  2. Paul-
Le Cram never asked "What song do you most enjoy listening to when eating a double quarter pounder with cheese?" But Le Cram is glad you enjoy the music.

  3. Well, well...if it isn't Le Cram...without so much as a "Howdy-do, That Guy!" How many times can I keep coming here, hoping for new posts, only to have to wait months and months between them? I'll try to let bygones be bygone, though, since your posts are so much fun! :-)

As for this Beach Boys' song, it's certainly an appropriate song for this place, since you seem to go away for long whiles. (Oops, I wasn't going to be upset anymore about your not posting more frequently....) The song is a lot better than "Wind Chimes," which has to be one of the silliest songs in pop history.

Great to see you here again, Le Cram. I hope you're having a good 2013 so far! Can't wait to see some more of your drawings.
